| Established in 1913 in
Bristol, Chappell & Matthews began at Whiteladies
Gate only 200 yards from the present offices in Whiteladies
Road. Between 1913 and 1987 the firm was a private Partnership
controlled over this period of time by only seven partners
at varying times.
The company operated exclusively from Whiteladies Road
until 1987, when Chappell & Matthews was acquired
by London and Manchester. They were then acquired by
Friends Provident in autumn 1998. In August 2002 Friends
Provident Estate Agencies Limited was acquired by Countrywide
plc.
We now have three offices in Bristol at Whiteladies
Road, Clifton Village and City centre plus offices at
Chew Magna, Bournemouth, Poole and Yeovil.
We also have a substantial Survey Department. For many
years we have adopted a motto of Integrity, Courtesy and
Service which is uppermost in our daily attitude to business.
