Your Role as a Mortgage Consultant
 
Purpose of Job
To provide clients with professional mortgage associated life assurance and general insurance protection advice ensuring business targets are achieved.
 
Key Responsibilities
To provide clients with a mortgage specific to their needs and select the most appropriate assurance and insurance protection available through Countrywide plc.
To ensure all advice is given on the basis of a full and detailed factfind which complies with the requirements of the ABI and Mortgage Code of Conduct and in the near future General Insurance Standards Council.
To ensure that all advice given is fully documented to Company Standards.
To meet all service standards laid down by the company and Estate Agency Management.
To achieve sales targets as agreed with the line manager.
To be familiar with and make use of, all systems provided in the Estate Agency office to assist in generating business, using effective administration and follow up systems.
To take all necessary steps to ensure a professional business relationship is maintained with the Estate Agency staff. Taking a positive lead to train Estate Agency Staff in order to maximise Mortgage Services sales opportunities.
To project a professional image to the public and work colleagues.
To actively seek referrals from clients.
Maintain as individuals the necessary knowledge and skills to fulfil both the company requirements and those of the relevant industry authorities.
Maintain competence in the role through participation in all remedial, refresher and development training. Maintain records of all training and development activities to company standards.
